This pedal will forever be associated with Jimi Hendrix. And rightly so. But it's more than just a novelty item to be used only when doing your rendition of Purple Haze. This is a very cool fuzz. If you're looking for that nasty, over the top, complete sonic annihilation that only a thick fuzz can provide, then this might be what you're looking for. Volume to control the amount of gain, the "intensity" knob on this pedal is actually quite useful. It won't give you any creamy overdrive tones, but can certainly get some nice gritty low gain grind.  The BYOC Octave Fuzz also features an octave lift switch which removes the octave and just leaves you with pure fuzz.
