What's new
T-Rex
We here at bmusic.com.au are excited to announce the arrival of T-Rex Engineering pedals. New to bmusic, new models, new stock, and new lower pricing.

Danish company T-Rex was founded as a private company by Lars Dahl and Sebastian Jensen back in 1996. These two guys was thrilled by the MIDI standard and MIDI technology. They believed, that they could build some of the best MIDI control gear. And they did.

The first issue of the T-Rex BigFoot MIDI board was yellow. The board could control more MIDI units. Later came the T-Rex Mac1 MIDI controller build for the 19 inch rack. Lots of loops, VCA control, mixer etc. Using the BigFoot, you could now control the Mac1 placed in the rack, which again controlled almost everything mounted.

This MIDI setup (Mac1 and BigFoot) was sold to a lot of Danish professional guitar players, back in the nineties. Most of them still use it. But the time for rack gear was running out. Players were buying more and more effect pedals. Everybody was moving away from the rack towards pedals.

T-Rex build the Alberta, Mudhoney, CompNova and Tremster pedals. They were vintage effect pedals for guitar players. Professional quality for medium money. Some of the best basic pedals around.

This was where the funny names came in.
- Mudhoney comes from "muddy", fuzzy distortion. Honey is soft and smooth. Could be your friend, partner or even girlfriend.
- CompNova comes from "new style of compression". It is very transparent for a compressor.
- Tremster comes from the word tremolo and the car type "Sportster".
- Alberta is a womans name, but not someone we know. The pedal is blue because it's a blues pedal.

The T-Rex logo with the dinosaur, which is now history, was hot in the 80's - until the movie Jurassic Park came along. The logo was changed in 2005 introducing the circular shaped T-Rex logo. It looks like something from the 50's and 60's, which it should. Like "ESSO", "Chevrolet Corvette", "Bultaco" etc.

After the 4 basic pedals came the worlds best delay pedal, the T-Rex Replica. It was really a struggle for both Lars and Sebastian to build this pedal. Inside there are components from other industries. The sound is extraordinary for a digital delay pedal. It sounds like it is analog. Usually people wont believe it's digital.

The T-Rex BetaVibe completed the guitar line of pedals. A chorus pedal with a touch of vibe. Many players called it "The stray uncle", because it didn't really fit the other pedals purity. It really didn't. Now the pedal is discontinued.

Steen Meldgaard joined T-Rex in 2002. There was no export at that time. T-Rex never had a booth at any show. So T-Rex attended MusikMesse Frankfurt fo the first time in 2002. After that, distributors in Europe, USA and Japan signed up and T-Rex started growing.

Now T-Rex products are exported to approximately 30 countries. The company is well run. There is a substancial increase every year. And the company releases appx. 4 new products every year.

We take a detailed look at each of the T-Rex pedals to make it down under to bmusic below.

T-Rex Viper Vibe. Viper is a classic vibe pedal. True to the original vibe sound.

This great-looking, phenomenal-sounding pedal takes the original swirling vibe sound and gives it an extra bite – with more voltage hurling your sound around the room. Spinning, whirling, shimmering and pulsating, this box is destined to join our other award-winning pedals as a modern classic – delivering sounds from the golden age of rock & roll to the twenty-first century.

Viper gives you a range of cool, modulated 70s sounds – all enhanced with a T-Rex bite. You’ll recognize the vibe effect at once, and it’s easy to dial in everything from “Little Wing” to “Bridge of Sighs”.

Turn your world around
Unlike the seventies-sounding phase shifter or the chorus effect of the eighties, the sound of a vibe never goes out of style. It moves in a subtler way – as classic tracks from Hendrix and generations of his musical descendents bear witness. Use Viper to make your guitar stand out with a dynamic, vivid sound that will leave audiences calling for more.

Perfect control
Viper gives you just the control you need for the perfect sound on every tune while keeping it simple. The main controls are Depth, Speed and overall Level, while a Mode button takes you from the rotating speaker to a vibrato effect. A trimmer control on the underside of the pedal lets you tune the phase and intensity of your vibe.

T-Rex Alberta Overdrive. T-Rex overdrive/tube screamer pedal

Alberta is quite unique; she makes your guitar sing.

She provides instant access to the kind of warm overdrive and emotive distortion usually reserved for 30-year-old tube amps.
Alberta delivers a creamy, yet crunchy sound with a smooth mid-range boost, reminiscent of the old Ibanez TS-808.

Albertas sweet tube-like harmonics and wide and natural sounding tonal spectrum faithfully reproduces all the subtle nuances of your playing dynamics.

A MUST HEAR!

Technical information
The GAIN knob controls the distortion amount.

The LEVEL knob sets the overall volume.

The TONE knob affects the top end (edge) of your signal without compromising sonic quality, allowing you to dial in the perfect tonal flavour for you taste.

What gives this beast its true power is its 5-dial sound customization, giving you complete control of not only High, Mid and Low settings, but also Gain and Level. The Body switch adds a distinct tone and a rich lower mid and bass to your sound.

To make this effect pedal a true monster, we have employed the services of several intended users, thereby making sure that it will deliver on every front.

So, whether you prefer high-pitched wails, thumping power cords or something in between, BloodyMary will deliver.

Wrought from the finest metals and embued with original artwork, its looks alone is enough to make any dwarven forge master weep with envy. BloodyMary is crafted to let anyone who gazes upon it know: ”I am a hound of the bloody dark side, set me free at your own peril!”

T-Rex Tremster Tremolo. The Tremster has been designed to sound like a vintage tube amp tremolo.

Unlike many other tremolos that utilize opto-electronic designs, the Tremster uses a light-dependent resistor (LDR) to achieve it's deep, buttery, seductive tone.

A flashing LED displays the selected speed setting, and allows a wide range of control from very slow to head-spinning fury. When the mode button is in the "normal" position, the Tremster has an aggresive/more sine wave type effect on the signal, coming down 100% in volume. When the mode button is depressed, the Tremster has a less aggresive/more square wave type effect on the signal, coming down only 80% in volume.

The actual volume control itself is unity gain in the 12 o'clock position and provides up to 3 dB boost (and more "bite") in the maximum position.

T-Rex pedals are handcrafted in Denmark and offer a 2-year unconditional warranty.

T-Rex Michael Angelo Batio Overdrive.
Great overdrive pedal made with Michael Angelo Batio.

Twice the pedal for twice the guitarist

Guitar phenomenon Michael Angelo Batio was in a dilemma. He is twice the guitarist, and he plays twice the guitar. But he didn’t have twice the overdrive he needed to keep up with his blistering licks and double-handed pyrotechnics. That’s why he teamed up with Denmark’s T-Rex Engineering – a producer of high-end and custom effects pedals – to create Michael Angelo Batio Overdrive. You only have to listen to Mr. Batio play to hear what this pedal can do – add an exquisite overdrive to your guitar sound.

Heaven-sent overdrive
Michael Angelo wanted a pedal that would give him creamy, classic overdrive without clouding his unique touch and tone. T-Rex produced an overdrive unit with a sound sweet enough to make an angel cry – but with an earthy bite and punch! From a medium blues crunch to a rock guitar wail, Michael Angelo overdrive covers the full spectrum of overdrive distortion.

Michael Angelo Batio’s tonal masterpiece Let there be no doubt: the Michael Angelo Batio Overdrive was created for this guitarist and his brand of melodic heavy rock – moody, moving, majestic. But the core of this pedal is a warm, natural-sounding smooth distortion that will appeal to any guitarist looking for the holy grail of overdrive.

Features
Gain, Tone and Level knobs, input and output jacks, 9-12 V DC or 9 V battery, industrial design with metal finish, Michael Angelo Batio’s logo and signature.

T-Rex MØLLER Overdrive. T-Rex classic overdrive pedal with clean boost

COCKTAIL ANYONE?
- stunning clean sound with just a little dirt around the edges?
- solid overdrive with a tablespoon of clean sparkle to make your distorted chords stand out?
- fire-breathing distortion with just a dash of clean signal for better definition?

Choose your flavour - MØLLER blends it all..

MØLLER is a classic overdrive pedal that provides a wealth of dynamic overdriven tones with superb tonal control, as well as separate transparent 0-20 db adjustable and switchable clean boost, and a unique overdrive/clean mix option.

The mix knob lets you dial in the perfect balance between distorted and non-distorted signal.

Rolled all the way up and with distortion maxed too, the pedal sounds just like an old tube amp on full volume.

The boost function lets you dial in a solo level, whether the overdrive circuit is activated or not.

T-Rex Replica Delay. This is probably the best delay pedal in the world!

Guitar Player Magazine gave it the editors Pick-Award.

Just leave it on! - most players say. It is hard to believe, that this delay pedal is digital. It gives the warmth of all-tube echo and also cool digital delay in studio quality. All with the convenience of one pedal.

TIME, REPEAT, MIX and LEVEL knobs allow for quick, precise control. A Hi-cut button cuts high frequencies on repeats - perfectly simulating the tone of a 60s era tape echo.

With a simple flick of a switch you can alter the delay’s subdivision parameter from 1/4 to 1/8 triplets, and to make the delay fit your purpose we even added a Tap-Tempo switch to get you right in time with your tune.

Play it and youll buy it!

A lot of famous players are using this pedal. Just have a look far right under "Who plays T-Rex". You will see Carlos Santana, Gary Moore, John Mayer, Greg Lake, Steve Morse etc.
