What's new
Caparison Exclusively available at bmusic.com.au

"Seeking for sounds leads to creating the great shapes". That's the philosophy of Japanese guitar and bass manufacturer Caparison. We here at bmusic are extremely excited to be able to now offer Caparison's exceptional instruments exclusively in Australia.

Design
"Seeking for sounds leads to creating the great shapes" This is the basic concept of Caparison Design.
Design means not only drawings, but also planning the wood selection, finish, choice of pick up, and all other ancillary components.
The most significant features of Caparison guitars are tuning stability and sound reliability.
In addition, the colours and fingerboard inlays are very important elements in order to inspire the guitarists who play Caparison.

Production
All Caparison guitars that are assembled in regular production are made in exactly the same way and by the same craftsmen as Caparison endorsee's instruments. The endorsement guitars are tailored to the particular customer requests at the end of production. Simply put, the quality of all Caparison instruments are the same. The designers who take charge of the graphics for endorsement guitars are also responsible for the treatment of colours and graphics for all Caparison models.
Before shipping from Caparison, all guitars are strictly inspected and set-up by Caparison's expert designers and craftsmen.

Finish

The finish is as thin as possible for better quality of tone.
FD Finish: This is Caparison's original finish which helps make their distinctive and renowned mid-low range tonal characteristics possible. (FD Black, Sand Stone, Orange, Midnight Blue)
Such graphic colours as Deep Sea and Snow Cloud, Caparison consider to be the best finish and colour coatings best suited to the sonic virtues and themes of each model.
Fingerboard R

Fingerboard R is curved 350 R around nut to 400 R at the end section of the fingerboard that helps for smoother left-hand movements and allow for as lower action as possible for all playing styles.
(The Fingerboard R system is not a feature of the Dellinger Bass)
Neck Grip of Devil's Tail Headstock

For left hand playing, especially thumb picking styles, the side of Fingerboard is shaped to suit smooth movements.
The same is true for the rear side of the Neck. The Neck grip is shaped flat around the nut and is curved gradually as it works it's way towards the body.
The neck is thicker where necessary rather than thin all the way through to avoid any neck problems throughout the life of the guitar.
Pickups

"Caparison Guitars design their own pickup which is a feature of all Caparison Guitars"
Caparison Pickups are one of the principal components responsible for creating a wealth of sounds for any of their electric guitars.
Each Pickup is tested repeatedly in simulations with different amps, environments and recording settings to develop a specific character for each model.
(Except Dellinger-CA Neck Center Pickup, Dellinger Bass Pickup)
Caparison developed pickups include PH-R/PH-G, BH-R/BH-F, BH-IIR, VS-I, VS-IA, SH-27F, SH-N.

Bridge

Highly reliable Gotoh and Schaller products are employed on Caparison guitars and basses. Pictured is the Schaller S-FRTII bridge, the bridge Caparison regards as the best for sound balance among Licensed Floyd Rose Locking Bridge.
Machine Heads:

Highly reliable Gotoh and Schaller machine heads are used on Caparison guitars and basses. The Gotoh H.A.P machine head features the ability to adjust string posts. The H.A.P. machine head for locking nuts facilitates the neccessity for tuning changes when locked. (Except Angelus-ACE)
Schaller M6 Locking Tuners lock the strings inside of the string post.

HGS(Heavy Gauge Strings)
Angelus-HGS
Dellinger-CA, Dellinger-HGS, Dellinger FX-HGS

This unique guitar was produced following requests from endorsees. The model itself has heavy gauge strings for tuning down, a very popular form of tuning in many modern music styles.
The bridge position is mounted 3mm further along than regularly seen on other guitars; this is to help when adjusting heavy gauge strings to an octave deeper in pitch. (The bridge saddle is placed further back than the usual position due to the octave pitch adjustment on the bridge in using heavy gauge strings.) In addition, the pickup position is changed as the bridge moved.
This means that players never again need to change their playing technique because the neck length is always the same.
This instrument has proved to be reliable for regular tuning with heavy gauge strings and holds just as perfectly with "dropped" D tuning setups.
Upon shipment, HGS models equipped with a set of Dean Markley Nickelsteel LTHB (.010-.052) strings.
